WELCOME TO THE

ALL ACCESS PAGE!

I thought it would be helpful for you to have all of your resources together on one easy-to-save page.

We've explored digital poetry tiles, digital stations, hexagonal thinking, silent discussion, and hyperdocs together. So many wonderful ways for you to kick off 2021! I hope you're excited to put these into action.

On this page, you'll find a quick run-through of each video and resource, starting with a little bonus.

BONUS: Digital Stickers

Now that you have all these new digital activities to try with your students, you might just want some fun digital stickers you can drop onto student work to show them how great it is and make them smile. Digital stickers are an easy way to show students you care what they're up to without necessarily needing to put a grade on everything.

DAY ONE: Digital Poetry Tiles

This education-themed digital poetry kit is a great way to start a conversation with your students about how this school year is going for them and what they hope for in 2021. You might want to follow it up with having them choose one word for how they want to approach school (or life) in  2021 and write about how they want to live it out. Another idea would be to have them construct post-pandemic vision boards and then share them in a digital gallery.

DAY TWO: Digital Stations

This set of digital stations is an easy way to guide students through the sometimes-thorny process of revising their argument papers. By giving them specific tasks and resources to support those tasks, you can help them understand the depth required in true revision. By using stations, you give them the opportunity to spend their time where they need it most.

DAY THREE: Hexagonal Thinking

This toolkit gives you everything you need to try this out as soon as you return from break. You'll find three sets of hexagons, as well as instructions and examples for each set. I hope it will make it super easy for you to put this engaging strategy into place right away.

DAY FOUR: Silent Discussion

These templates make it easy to run a silent discussion inside Google Slides. Just choose the template you want to use, copy it onto as many slides as you have questions, fill in your questions, and grant access to your students. Use it as a stand-alone activity or as a warm-up to a regular discussion. Consider using it regularly as a great digital discussion option.

DAY FIVE: Hyperdocs

This hyperdoc will lead your students through exploring the concepts of sketchnotes and one-pagers. They'll find out how to create each, see a ton of examples, and then participate in creating their own version of both. By the end of this hyperdoc unit, they should be ready to use one-pagers and sketchnotes in class as part of their learning toolkit.

Thanks for joining me for Camp Creative! It's been a pleasure to share this week with you.

(Pssst, see what I did over there with the digital sticker? Did it make you smile?)

If you've enjoyed these resources and tutorials, and find yourself wishing you could have this type of support throughout the year, I've got a nice surprise for you. Today I'm opening the doors to The Lighthouse, my teacher membership, for just a few days. Inside The Lighthouse, you'll find the creative curriculum and camaraderie that can help get you through this crazy year. There's so much I want to tell you (and show you) about what's inside, so if you're interested, come on over and check it out.
